I'm with computer again. Eight days ago my trusty old Pentium came down with Advanced Dementia. It's memory went somewhere. Somewhere I know not. Since I am a freelance web designer this was of great concern. Maria came to the rescue with a loaner for a few days and Ralph Mundell finished building an already ordered computer early so that my life could resume. We get by with a little help from our friends.
It's been two days of loading software and recovering the data of the old hard drives. I'm finally back to normal except that normal is a whole lot faster now. I've gone from a 100Mhz Pentium to a 1.1Ghz Athlon. Whoo boy! Rock 'n roll!
Most everything is in it's place and I'm ready for TestingTesting tonight. It will be David Ossman of Firesign Theater fame reading his new poetry. |
