Anyone who has taken a statistics course in college will understand that SDI is a crap shoot, a crap shoot in which we are trying to hit lucky sevens for every single warhead which is launched at the United States (current SDI design is to intercept warheads, not the missile delivery device — presumably because a missile could more effectively thwart a counter-response). Even if SDI could be guaranteed to be 99% effective SDI will be a complete failure. This is a concept most Americans have failed to understand.
