Grounds for Impeachment of George W. Bush
High Crimes GW Bush committed high crimes, which disqualify him from serving as the president of the United States. Bush violated the law trading Harken stock as an insider and then lied under oath to cover up this crime. Bush also lied under oath to cover up crimes in the Texas "Funeralgate" scandal.
Bush thereby committed perjury and obstructed justice. Bush improperly interfered with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) to benefit his patron, Kenneth Lay of Enron. This illegal quid pro quo is graft.
Bush directed his representatives to deceive the UN Security Council and the Congress in violation of US and international law. Bush's pattern of criminal deception shattered US credibility and requires impeachment. [more]
