I'm sure I will see the movie Master and Commander but here is a better deal — read the book! Or, more accurately — read the books. One plus for the movie is that it caused Master and Commander (the book) to be at Costco with Russel Crowe's image on it. This is a series that I have been interested in reading for some time so I took advantage of the book's availability and now only have 19 more volumes to go. Most excellent! Go ahead, see the movie but don't see that as a substitute for reading the books.
