The picture is courtesy of BoyCaught. The "election" is over. Let the games begin. This is all I have to say. Actually, there is too much to say. I will leave it at this.

Zoe took this picture. She titled it Toby and Chappy. Very few people in the world know these men by these names. To everyone else they are Bruce and Gordon (yes, that's me). Our family have known Bruce since he was a child. His mother and mine were cousins and best friends. We don't see Bruce often but, when we do, it is as if the time intervals without him disappear and our family conections are remembered and treasured.

Bruce would never allow anyone to call him Toby. It was a name that apparently was originally used for a pet dog and he always disliked it. But he will always be Toby for my mother. We are the only ones allowed to call him that. My childhood nickname was Chappy and, to my mother, it still is. She tries to call me Gordon but in her heart I will always be Chappy.

Adult names and childhood names. Being called a childhood name can be annoying but I'm glad that there is someone who remembers and cares.

I have been remiss in making entries here. Too much has been happening. Not enough time to even surf. I have been working on Christine Lavin's shopping cart site and listening to CNN waiting to see if the ballots will be counted.

Monday's TestingTesting was a great show with Scott Marrs.

Too much happening. More later.
