that was the week that was

It's been over a week since posting. And a busy week it's been. Fortunately, for my check book, much of the busyness has been work related. Finishing up one website, starting another, with a website redo starting early next week. Last weekend was a long 4th of July weekend here on Whidbey Island. One of the hazards of living in a tourist destination is tourists. Last Friday was bedlam in the local supermarket as the huns tourists were clogging the checkout stands. I mentioned to the lady at the checkout stand that it appeared to be an infestation of tourists. She replied that about one in ten were regular customers. The bedlam didn't let up until Wednesday the 5th. I'm glad I didn't have to use the ferry to get on or off the Island. Wednesday afternoon, at 3:30, there was still a three boat wait. There are summer people who spend weekends on the Island in second houses as well as the hordes of bed and breakfasters. Oh, well. We get the Island to ourselves the rest of the time. This weekend it's the Langley Arts and Crafts fair. Right now I have to drive up to Oak Harbor but I will be back later on today with many links to amaze and terrify you. Hopefully I can get them all up this weekend. Stay tuned.
