Maxine is a Maine lobster boat designed by Arno Day and built to yacht standards by Vernon Brisley.  This type is now in use in Maine as a lighter or tender for island resorts, estates, and yacht clubs.   It is designed for short, steep seas which are found in the Gulf of Maine as well as coastal waters of the Northwest.  These boats are known for their seaworthiness and comfortable ride in bad weather.  Maxine is capable of 12 knots at cruising and 14 knots at top speed.
