The stemhead is finished off "Down East" style with a brass stem iron and teak toe rails and guards. The toe rails and guards are clad with brass half-oval. The planking at the transom is protected with 1/4" thick brass, as well.

All of the deck hardware and fittings are bronze, excepting the Bomar hatches.

The main cockpit deck is self-bailing, while the smaller forward cockpit is not. The square Bomar forward hatch allows access to the automatic bilge pump.
